2-0-1 yesterday with our 1 push coming thanks to Tiger Woods getting a 5 on a Par 3 on hole 17. The night cap was great though with the Bruins winning 4-0 at just under even money and we had the thrill of covering the Warriors team total by one point with 12 seconds left. Some of you will call me crazy for this but wins like that help us build momentum and confidence, that’s exactly what we needed last night to set us up for a huge weekend. 5-0-1 the last two days and I don’t plan on losing a single bet this weekend. L F G boys!!!
Dodgers (Hill) (-130) – JACKHAMMER – The Dodgers have won 9 of their last 12 games and they have a great matchup tonight. They will take on the Reds who they are 3-0 against this season. Anthony DeSclafani will pitch for the Reds and this Dodgers lineup comes in with a .308 avg in 39 at bats against him. The last time the Dodgers faced him they beat him 8-1. Rich Hill will get the start for the Dodgers and he has held this Reds lineup to a .214 avg in 28 at bats. I like the Dodgers to stay hot tonight!
Mets (deGROM) (-1.5) – A lot of people are freaking out that deGROM is 3-4 this season but one team he has dominated is the team he will face tonight, the Miami Marlins. He has allowed just 1 earned run in 14 innings pitched against them this year including his last start last Saturday. He’s always dominated the Marlins and has held them to a .237 avg in 114 career at bats. The Mets bats should get him run support against 0-5 Trevor Richards who they have a .302 avg in 53 at bats against. LGM!
Sharks / Blues Over (5.5) – I realize a lot of public money is on this one (81%) but there was also 72% of the public money on Bruins -1.5 last night at +250 and that hit. I wanted to take the over in Game 3 but I was scared of St. Louis for some reason. I was literally pouting on my couch when the over hit in the 2nd period. All three games in this series have gone over 5.5 and 2 of the 3 games have had 9 total goals. Also assuming the refs won’t give the Sharks any power plays due to the fixed ending in Game 3 but I still like the Sharks to do their part to cover this over.
Bucks OVER (111.5) – That team total was fun last night right? I’m liking the Bucks team total over tonight at 111.5. Even though they went under in Game 1, they have gone over 111.5 in 8 of their 9 playoff games before that. They missed 33 three point field goals in Game 1 and still scored 108 points. They shot 25% from three point range in Game 1 and their average on the season is 34%. I’m estimating the difference in last game’s three point performance to their season average to be about a 10-12 point difference. Keep in mind the Bucks got off to a slow start in Game 1 and that was likely due to them sitting around waiting for the Raptors series to end. They got better as the game went on and I think they will come out even better tonight. O V E R!
