UFC Preview and UFC Predictions:

Vince Morales 9-4 (-115) vs Chris Gutierrez 14-3-1 – (-115) – These guys come in at the same weight but Chris Gutierrez has the 2 inch height advantage. Morales has a 3 inch reach advantage. Vince Morales started his career 7-1 but he has lost 3 of his last 5 fights. Morales’ last 4 fights have gone to decision. Chris Gutierrez has the better record and the better recent trends. Gutierrez is 5-1 over his last 6 fights. It’s also worth noting that 10 of his 18 career fights have gone to decision. The odds for the winner of this fight are a toss up at -115, it’s a coin flip according the the oddsmakers. The round prop odds aren’t posted yet but the best bet for this fight to kick off the night is for the fight to go over 2.5 rounds.

Louis Smolka (+215) 16-6 vs Casey Kenney 13-2-1 (-275) – This fight looks to be an underrated matchup and I think it will turn out to be a good one. Obviously Casey Kenney has a pretty impressive 13-2-1 record but he is 0-1 in 2020. However, he went on a 6-0 run in 2018 and 2019. Louis Smolka hasn’t fought since September of 2019 and he is 5-1 in his last 6. 10 of Kenney’s 16 fights have gone to decision while just 6 of Smolka’s 22 fights have gone to decision. Ironically enough, Smolka has lost 4 of his 6 fights that have gone to decision. Smolka has 7 knockouts and he hasn’t been knocked out. I expect him to be aggressive in this fight.

Here’s the way I’m looking at this one, Kenney is coming off of a loss, Smolka is going to be aggressive, if this fight goes to decision then Kenney will win. If you are feeling the underdog here, it makes sense to take Smolka to win by knock out rather than straight up because he loses 75% of the time when it goes to decision. Do I have anyone out there on Smolka by KO, TKO, or DQ at (+1100)? I don’t think it’s as crazy as it sounds.

Brandon Royval 10-4 (+125) vs Tim Elliot 16-10-1 (-155) – Brandon Royval comes in with a 2 inch height advantage for this fight. Tim Elliot has been a streaky fighter and of course every opponent is a different matchup but I can’t help but notice this trend. He started his career by going 0-2-1 then went on an 8-0 run, lost, won 2, lost 3, won 4, and has most recently lost 4 of his last 6 fights. He is currently in the worst stretch of his career losing 4 of his last 6. All 4 of Elliot’s recent losses have come via submission or decision.

On the flip side, Brandon Royval is 5-1 in his last 6. He has won by submission or decision in 4 of his last 5 wins. Adding up the odds of Elliot’s recent losses and Royval’s recent wins, 9 of the last 12 (75%) have ended by submission or decision. Both of these fighters only have 3 career knockouts so I don’t think this one will be ending via knockout. I’m eyeing two plays in this one – Royval to win by submission (+400) and Royval to win by decision or technical decision (+450). As long as there aren’t any knockouts and Royval wins, we either profit 3 units or 3.5 units. I like our chances.

Klidson Abreu 15-4 (-105) vs Jamahal Hill 7-0 (-125) – this is one of our premium plays for tonight and you can get it HERE for just $5.

Katlyn Chookagian 13-3 (+105) vs Antonina Shevchenko 8-1 (-135) – I honestly still haven’t really got into the chicks fighting. I’m just being honest. This one looks to be a pretty good matchup. Chookagian has the height and reach advantage by 1 inch and she comes in as the underdog. I won’t personally be betting on this fight but here’s what I have for you. If you like blondes, take Chookagian. If you like brunettes, take Shevchenko. Like both? Take them to go the distance since 72% (18 of 25) of their fights have ended by decision.

Gabriel Green 9-2 (+260) vs Daniel Rodriguez 11-1 (-340) – Ahh the ol -300 or more moneyline. This fight looks like it will be pretty one sided and the main reason for that is because Daniel Rodriguez has 15 pounds on Gabe Green. No need to get too deep into this one, Rodriguez is like the big brother who always has the advantage because he is bigger and stronger. Rodriguez is 11-1 with a perfect 6-0 knockout record. Use D-Rod as a parlay piece tonight.

Hannah Cifers 10-4 (+315) vs Mackenzie Dern 7-1 (-425) – Another big moneyline favorite here to start off the Main Card. Again, I won’t be betting on the bitch fights but I know a lot of you will. Mackenzie Dern is the big time favorite in this one because she has a 3 inch height advantage on Hannah Cifers. Dern will be looking to bounce back from the loss that she took the last time out. Hannah Cifers face might still be healing from the absolute pounding of a beat down that she is coming off of in January when she took 26 straight shots to the head before the ref called the fight. Dern should be a safe parlay piece.

Brok Weaver 15-4 (+260) vs Roosevelt Roberts 9-1 (-340) – Roosevelt Roberts comes in at 6’2 and Brok Weaver is at 6’0. Weaver is on an 8 fight winning streak and 5 of those 8 wins came by decision. Roosevelt Roberts comes in with the more impressive record at 9-1. His victory types are pretty well split with 2 decisions, 4 submissions, and 3 knockouts. These guys didn’t practice social distancing at their weigh in and went to a face to face stare down. Both of these have good recent trends but Roberts has the edge when it comes to the trash talk. He released this tweet last night:

And with that, I am all over Roosevelt Roberts in this fight. If Roberts wants Weaver to feel like a dog and force him to fight to the death, maybe he will wear him down and go for the knock out later in this fight. It’s worth noting that Roberts by knockout is (+550) and Roberts to win in the 3rd round is (+1000).

Spike Carlyle 9-1 (+105) vs Billy Quarantillo 13-2 (-135) – this is one of our premium plays for tonight and you can get it HERE for just $5.

Augusto Sakai 14-1-1 (-115) vs Blagoy Ivanov 18-3 (-115) – This one is one of our premium plays and you can get it HERE for just $10.

Gilbert Burns 18-3 (+140) vs Tyron Woodley 19-4-1 (-170) – The MAIN EVENT, UFC WOODLEY VS BURNS. You know that this one is a premium play and you can get it HERE for just $10.

We will also have a parlay or two that we will be playing so be sure to check in throughout the day to see what we have. If you enjoyed our UFC Fight Night Woodley vs Burns preview, be sure to follow us on Twitter or Instagram for future content.
