The Chicago Cubs had a down year last season but they are projected to be one of the top teams in the National League this season. Let’s take a look at the roster for the Chicago Cubs for the 2020 season.
Roster for Chicago Cubs:
Chicago Cubs Lineup 2020
- Kris Bryant
- Anthony Rizzo
- Javier Baez

The Cubs lineup has a young core in place and they figure to score plenty of runs this season. However, the starting pitching just doesn’t seem to be enough to get them back to the World Series.

Preview & Best Bets 2020
The Cubs lineup is going to be good again this year. I just don’t have a high confidence level in their starting pitching. 3 of the 5 starters finished the season with a record better than .500 last year and it was only an average of 2.5 games per starter. They don’t have that guy who you can count on to go out every five days and dominate. Jon Lester is not that guy anymore. Let’s not kid ourselves, Yu Darvish was never that guy. Kyle Hendricks and Jose Quintana are not that guy. I think the Cubbies have the best chance to win the NL Central, but I don’t suggest putting your money on it.
I don’t suggest taking any pre-season bets on the Cubs because of the questionable starting pitching. Once the season gets started, the potent lineup and questionable pitching should make for the perfect recipe to bet on overs and team totals.
