The UFC 251 results are final. Our premium plays finished 2-2 although we did finish the night making money. We got absolutely robbed with one of the biggest fixes in recent memory with Max Holloway losing. That cost us our long shot 33 to 1 parlay. Here’s a look back at the picks and analysis that we gave to our followers before the fights.

UFC 251 Results

Salikhov ML (-135)

Salikhov comes into this fight sporting a 16-2 record with 12 wins coming by TKO. This Russian has some very heavy hands, and he will be looking to land a knockout vs Zaleski (22-6). Salikhov is a World Champion in Wushu Sanda, and is a very polished fighter both on his feet and on the mat. Salikhov has won every fight since his first in the UFC, and we look for nothing different here. With a couple take downs, he should be able to wear down Zaleski and get the win here.

Winner.

Holloway ML (+180)

Holloway is coming into this fight looking for revenge. He lost by decision last time these two fought last December but he feels like he should have won the fight. The numbers never lie and Holloway landed more head shots at 85 to 67 and more body shots at 32 to 15. Volkanovski was 0 for 4 on take down attempts in that fight and Holloway’s 85% take down defense is the reason for that. Judges will be judges like last fight but Holloway has been training for this very moment since last December. This will also be Holloway’s 8th straight title fight. He’s looking for reveeeeeeenge!

Loser – even Dana White called out the judges for being “bad.”

Parlay

Yan / Usman (+102)

Yan comes in at 14-1 and he is 6-0 in fights decided by knockout. His 1 loss came back in 2016 and it was a split decision. Yan has the significant strike advantage at 5.65 to 3.47. Yan also has the advantage when it comes to take downs at 1.73 to 0.64. Jose Aldo has lost 3 of his last 5 even though all 3 of those fights came against great fighter’s. Yan is another great fighter that Aldo has to deal with and we think that Aldo will lose to another great one.

Then we have Usman coming in to defend his Welterweight title against Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal took this fight less than a week ago due to Gilbert Burns being scratched due to testing positive for Covid. Due to taking the fight on late notice, Masvidal had to cut 20 pounds in 5 days. He also had to travel across the world from the U.S. to Abu Dhabi. It seems like it would take a miracle for Masvidal to win this fight after going through what his body has over the last week. Usman should defend the belt in this one.

Winner.

Parlay (+3307)

Rosa ML – Rosa lands 11.40 significant strikes per minute compared to Melo’s 3.60. That’s almost 4 times the amount of significant strikes per minute. 9 out of the last 10 combined fights for these two have gone to the third round. If it goes to the judges and there’s a great chance that it does, it’s hard to imagine Rosa not winning this fight.

Winner.

Leonardo Santos ML – Santos has not lost a fight since 2013 so you can say that it’s BEEN A WHIIILE! There’s a lot of hype surrounding Bogatov’s undefeated record but I bet you didn’t know that 8 of his 10 opponents have losing career records. That’s an eye opening stat in this matchup with Santos having the impressive 17-4-1 record. Santos will be the best fighter that Bogatov has ever faced. Santos comes in with the height advantage standing at 6’0 over Bogatov who stands at 5’8. Liking Santos here.

Winner.

Ribas ML – Ribas comes in 9-1 and she’s the biggest favorite on tonight’s card. She’s not losing this fight. She lands more significant strikes per minute at 4.84 to 3.40 and averages more takedowns at 2.02 to 1.31. VanZant has lost 3 of her last 5 fights and Ribas will be a tough opponent for her tonight.

Winner.

Jessica Andrade ML – Andrade lands 6.55 significant strikes per minute compared to Namajunas’ 3.95. She also has the takedown advantage averaging 3.21 to 2.17. On top of these stat advantages for Andrade, she also knocked out Namajunas last year when they fought on May 11. That knockout came in the second round.

Loser.

Petr Yan ML – Yan comes in at 14-1 and he is 6-0 in fights decided by knockout.

Winner.

Holloway ML – Holloway is coming into this fight looking for revenge. He lost by decision last time these two fought last December but he feels like he should have won the fight. Fixed fight. This is the one that swayed the UFC 251 results big time and it is absolute bullshit.

Usman ML – Usman is coming in to defend his Welterweight title against Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal took this fight less than a week ago due to Gilbert Burns being scratched due to testing positive for Covid. Due to taking the fight on late notice, Masvidal had to cut 20 pounds in 5 days. UFC 251 Results

Winner.

So yes, our official premium picks went 2-2 but that included the long shot parlay. A lot of people take the long shot parlay and play it in smaller parlays as well which made for a profitable night since those picks within the parlay went 5-2. We were a couple of judge decisions away from a perfect HUGE night. UFC 251 results are final and we can’t change them at this point. Next round of Fight Island will be on Wednesday.
