We went into last night with three total plays across the MLB and NBA. We ended up going 2-1 on the night but we were able to cash in on a (+140) parlay. Let’s take a look back at our sports picks review 7-30. Here are the VIP picks and a review of the results.
Sports Picks Review 7-30
Orioles Over (3.5) – Not the team total that you were expecting in this game I bet. I liked the combined over for both teams until it crept all the way up to 11. It still may hit but I am more confident in the Orioles scoring 4 runs tonight. They will face J.A. Happ who they scored 17 runs in 22.1 innings against last season which checks in at a 6.92 ERA. They scored 6 runs in 3.2 innings the last time they faced him in Baltimore. The O’s lineup has a .311 avg in 106 at bats against Happ. Renato Nunez sees red against Happ and has gone 11-19 (.579) with 4 homeruns. Baltimore put up 3 runs last night and had to face the best pitcher in baseball for 6.2 innings. I think this game is going to be a slugfest tonight but 3.5 seems low for the O’s team total. We need 4 runs from them tonight. There will also be a nice breeze blowing out to left field tonight to go along with 91 degrees and 60% humidity. FLY BALL FLY!
Result – WIN – We really liked the history that this Orioles lineup had against J.A. Happ. Coming in hitting over .300 against him and the success they had against him last season. Sure enough, the O’s scored 2 in the first and 2 in the second for this team total to hit for us early! Always nice when your bets hit early. Who would have thought we would be on an Orioles team total and it would hit in the 2nd inning!? That’s what you get with the research and analysis that we provide.
Cross Sport Parlay
Dodgers ML / Lakers ML (+140) – The L.A. parlay that pays (+140) is looking good for tonight. The Dodgers will have Ross Stripling pitching who is coming off of a stellar start where he only allowed 1 run over 7 innings. The D-Backs have had success against Stripling in the past but the Dodgers went 3-1 in games Stripling pitched against the D-Backs last season. The Dodgers will face lefty Robbie Ray who allowed 3 runs in 3.1 innings in his first start of the season against the Padres. Control has always been an issue for Ray and giving free passes against the powerful Dodgers lineup won’t work out to well for him. L.A. is coming off of a 2 game sweep of the Astros which is a nice boost of energy for them. I like the Dodgers tonight.
Then we open up the NBA restart with the Lakers against cross town rival Clippers. It sounds like Anthony Davis will be playing for the Lakers so we are good to go there. As for the Clippers, they will be without 2 of their top 4 scorers Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell due to the Covid. They may also be missing Pat Beverley as well. Even though the Clippers will have Kawhi and Paul George, I think it’s a tall task for the short handed Clippers to knock off the Lakers who look to be in good shape.
Result – WIN – The Dodgers came out swinging against Robbie Ray and scored 3 runs in the top of the first inning. They scored another in the second inning and really had control of this game from start to finish. A.j. Pollock, Corey Seager, and Max Muncy all hit homeruns for the Dodgers. Then we had the Lakers and Clippers which turned out to be a battle. The Lakers had a double digit lead in the first half but the Clippers closed the game by half time. The Lakers came out sloppy in the 3rd quarter and the Clippers had a double digit lead. Then the Lakers came out strong in the 4th but it came down to the King in the final 15 seconds for the WIN! Always follow your shot kids.
The one loss that we took on the night was the Twins who couldn’t get their offense going against the Bieber. 2-1 on the night with a (+140) parlay hitting puts us at 6-2 over the last two days for +5.92 units. A $100 bettor profited $592. That’s it for our sports picks review 7-30.
