We went into last night coming off of a 2-1 day with an easy JACKHAMMER winner. We had some good plus money opportunities come up last night and they both hit. Another winning night for us with a +120 and +123 hitting. Let’s take a look back at last night’s plays and review the results.

VIP Picks Review

Twins ML (Berrios) / Cubs ML (Hendricks) (+120) – Let’s dabble in some day action on ESPN with thw Twins kicking off this parlay at 2 est. The Twins come in 8-2 and they have won 4 games in a row. The Pirates are just 2-8 on the season and they have lost 5 games in a row. Not a lot of head to head history for each lineup against the opposing starters. Pirates starter Joe Musgrove is 0-2 on the season and has allowed 3 runs in 5.2 innings in both of his starts. The Twins will be the best lineup he has faced this season and they are averaging 5.10 runs per game. Jose Berrios will pitch for the Twins and he got rocked in his first start but he bounced back in his most recent start allowing just 2 runs. Unfortunately for him, that was the only game of the season that the Twins didn’t score a single run for him. He should be good against this Pirates lineup who ranks 27th out of 30 in offense.

Then we have the 8-2 Cubs taking on the 3-8 Royals. The Cubs come in winners of 4 straight and they are 6-1 at home this season (not the fan advantage but not traveling helps). The Royals have lost 4 in a row and the last 3 have been by 2 runs or more. Kyle Hendricks will pitch for the Cubs and he is coming off of a start where he got pounded by the Reds but he should bounce back against the Royals lineup that hasn’t seen much of him and they aren’t overpowering. Let’s not forget Hendricks threw a complete game shutout in his first start of the season. The Cubs lineup will face Brady Singer who has looked good in his two starts. He is just 24 years old. The one call out for him is that he allowed 2 homeruns in his last start. The Royals as a pitching staff have allowed the 4th most homeruns this season at 15. I like the Cubs to get Hendricks the run support he needs tonight.

+120 is a solid price for this two big favorites today and tonight!

Result – Winner – Twins 7 Pirates 3 and Cubs 5 Royals 4 – The Twins got out to a great start for us and took control of the game right out of the gate. They scored 4 runs in the first two innings and jumped out to a 7-1 lead by the end of the 5th. They had control of this game and it wasn’t as close as it looks. The Cubs hit 3 homeruns for us last night and took a 5-2 lead into the 9th but almost blew it. Luckily they closed it out and left the tying run on 3rd.

White Sox (Giolito) (+123) – The White Sox are listed as slight underdogs tonight despite the fact that they have won 5 games in a row. 4 of those 5 wins have come by 2 runs or more. The Sox are without Tim Anderson but this lineup is still deep and they are averaging 8.66 runs per game over their last 3 without him in the lineup. Brandon Woodruff is pitching for the Brewers and the Sox lineup hasn’t seen him in the past. I think they will still stay hot with the way they have been swinging it. Lucas Giolito will pitch for Chicago tonight and he got touched up in his first start of the season but he bounced back strong in his last start where he pitched 6 scoreless innings against the Indians. Giolito has held the Brewers lineup to a .190 avg in a small sample size.

Results – Winner – White Sox 3 Brewers 2 – Lucas Giolito pitched a great game and only allowed 1 hit into the 5th inning before he gave up a 2 run homerun. The White Sox lineup answered right back in the top of the 6th with a 2 run homerun. They got another run in the 7th on an RBI single by Jose Abreu to take the lead. A 2 out error in the 9th almost cost the Sox the win but they were able to close it out.

Clippers ML / Rockets ML (-108) – Good value here as we add the Clippers ML as a way to get the Rockets -175 down to -108. I don’t see anyway or any how the Clippers lose against the Suns today. The Clippers are 1-1 since the restart but only lost by 2 to the Lakers and then ran the Pelicans off of the court with a 126-103 final. The Clippers beat the Suns 120-99 and 102 to 92 with both Kawhi and Paul George in the lineup this season.

Then we have the red hot Rockets who have returned to action ready to lock and load. They scored 153 points in their first game back against the Mavericks and are coming off of a 120-116 win against the NBA best Milwaukee Bucks. I expected this spread to be more like 6 or 7 when I woke up this morning but seeing it at 4 kind of sketched me out. That’s why I think it’s the best move to parlay the moneyline with the Clippers to get just under even money odds. The Blazers are 1-1 since the restart with a win over the 8th seed Grizzlies and a loss to the Celtics where the Blazers were down 24 points at one point. Playing a quick game of connect the dots – the Blazers lost to the Celtics . The Celtics lost to the Bucks . The Bucks lost to the Rockets . The Rockets should beat the Blazers tonight.

Result – Loser – Tough day for NBA overall not just this one parlay loser for us. NBA favorites went 0-6 against the spread and 5 of 6 lost outright yesterday.
