Everyone take a deep breath, the weekend is officially over. What a bad weekend it was but some things didn’t go our way that should have and here we are. Don’t get me wrong, I’m just as pissed as all of you but I still stand by the research and analysis for each of the picks that lost. All we can do is put it in the past and start the new week. That’s exactly what we will do today with 3 good looking plays. Let’s get right into them.

Cross Sport Parlay

3:10 EST

Parlay

Rays ML / Heat ML / Lakers ML (+165) – The first place Rays will be taking on the 13-13 Blue Jays today. Blake Snell will pitch for the Rays and he has held this Jays lineup to a .153 avg in 59 at bats. The Rays will face Tanner Roark who they got off to a good start against last time they faced him and scored 3 runs in the first two innings.

The Heat will go for the sweep against the Pacers who they have beat by an average of 10 points per game this series. The Heat have had leads of 12, 16, and 20 in each for the first 3 games. The Heat have dominated every aspect of the game and that’s why they are holding on to a 3-0 series lead. We didn’t see much of a fight from the first two teams playing down 0-3. The Heat should close this series out tonight.

The Lakers have taken a 2-1 series lead after dropping Game 1 to the Blazers. Lillard played great with his dislocated finger and still scored 34 in Game 3 but it wasn’t enough. The Lakers have out rebounded the Blazers by 24 over the last 2 games and that’s contributed to the success that the Lakers have had. LeBron had 38 and 12 and Anthony Davis had 29 and 11. It’s going to be tough for anyone to beat the Lakers if these two perform like this. I’m expecting more of the same and I like the Lakers to win their third straight against the Blazers tonight.

Result – Loss – This parlay went 2 out of 3 with the Rays costing us the win. The 1,2, and 3 hitters went a combined 0-11 in this game so you’re probably not going to win a game in the Major Leagues when the meat of your lineup can’t come up with a single hit.

9:10 EST

Astros (Valdez) (-155) – The Astros will return home after a rough weekend in San Diego. They will host the Angels who have lost 9 of their last 11 and are 4-11 in road games. The Astros took 2 out of 3 against the Angels earlier this season. Patrick Sandoval will pitch for the Angels and they have lost his last 3 starts. Framber Valdez will pitch for the Astros and he has held this Angels lineup to a .159 avg in 63 at bats.

Result – Winner – Astros 11 Angels 4 – The Astros jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Angels fought back and made it 5-4. The Astros then tagged on 6 more runs in the 6th and 7th inning to pull away with the win for us. Framber Valdez put together 7 solid innings where is only allowed the 4 runs and racked up 11 strikeouts. We expected the Stros lineup to hit Patrick Sandoval and that’s exactly what they did when they got 5 runs in 2.2 innings against him.

NHL:

9:45 EST

Stars / Avalanche Over (5.5) – These two teams combined for 8 total goals in Game 1 of this series. The Avs will be without their starting goaltender Philipp Grubauer and veteran defenseman Erik Johnson. The Stars will keep the pressure up as they go for a 2-0 series lead. They have scored 5+ goals in 3 of their last 4 games. Don’t count out the Avs offense, they have scored 7 goals 2 times in their last 3 games. Fire the puck on net, that’s what these two teams have been doing and the scoring results show that. Shocking that this line is at 5.5 and not 6 but to be clear, we would take it either way.

Winner – Stars 5 Avalanche 2 – This over hit before the end of the 2nd period. The Avalanche got out to a 1-0 start in this one but the Stars exploded for 4 goals in the 2nd period and tagged one on in the 3rd for good measure.

A 2-1 night to start the week. You can sign up for more picks like this HERE.
