2-1 last night thanks to the back door cover by Joe Burrow. We were either facing a push at +12 before he led a 16 play drive to cut the lead to 5 and cover with 43 seconds left. Celts were up 17 and lost and that was the difference between 3-0 and 2-1. We are now 8-3 since Monday and 12-4 since Sunday. Let’s see what we have for tonight to kick off the weekend!
Indians (Plesac) (-1.5) – The Indians beat the Tigers by a touchdown last night to snap their 8 game losing streak as expected. The Tigers have lost 2 of their last 5 games with football final scores 14-0 and 10-3. Lucky for us, Michael Fulmer started that 14-0 game and he will start for the Tigers tonight. The Indians have scored 8 runs in 5.2 innings against Fulmer this season and have an outstanding career average of .368 against him in 95 at bats. Zach Plesac will start for the Indians and he comes in with a 2.20 ERA. I also like the fact that he has pitched 6+ innings in all 6 of his starts this season. Go Tribe!!
Result – Loss – Indians 1 Tigers 0
Lakers Over (108.5) – The Lakers will be rested after waiting around for the Nuggets to complete their epic comeback over the Clippers. L.A. has gone over 108.5 in their last 4 games and 8 of their 10 playoff games. To build on that trend, they went over 108.5 in 3 of the 4 regular season games against the Nuggets this season. I think the Lakers will win Game 1 and I think they will go over 108.5.
Result – Win – Lakers 126 Nuggets 114
