1-2 yesterday and that’s the risk of double dipping by having multiple bets on the same team. We better have a big day today because some you you hit me up yesterday talking shit about a 1-2 day after going 16-6-1 the week before that. You would have thought we went 1-25 by some of the messages. Your messages don’t change the result of the games. NFL picks are 18-5-1 this season so it’s a good day to bounce back after the last two days. Our Titans who we are 3-0 betting on got cancelled this week due to Covid. Let’s see what we’ve got!
NBA ADDED 6:20 EST
Lakers (-9.5) – Well the Heat are dead in the water because Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic are out again for Game 3. The Lakers have covered -9.5 in both of the first two games in the Finals and the refs put the Heat on the free throw line 34 times compared to the Lakers 17 in Game 2….DOUBLE! The Heat just don’t have what it takes to keep pace with the Lakers and I fully expect the Lakers to run away with this game tonight. No Bam = free pass to the basket for Anthony Davis who racked up 32 points in Game 2. Expect another big game from AD tonight and the Lakers should blow the Heat out as long as the refs don’t go above and beyond to keep it close.
Result – Loss
Seahawks (-5.5) – The 3-0 Seahawks will make the trip to Miami to take on the 1-2 Dolphins and let me be clear, I LOVE THE SEAHAWKS TODAY! The Seahawks are averaging 37 points per game backed by the strong start by Russell Wilson’s 14 touchdowns to 1 interception. The Dolphins offense just can’t keep up. Sure they put up 31 on the Jaguars but the Seahawks are on another level. A lot was made by the Seahawks making the “cross country” trip to the East Coast in Week 1 and what did they do? Won by 2 scores. We are all over the Seahawks today.
Result – Win
Ravens (-8.5) / Bucs (-1) – The Ravens are coming off of a short week after losing to the Chiefs but they are playing Washington who just lost by 2 touchdowns to the Browns. The Ravens beat the Browns by 4 touchdowns and a field goal in Week 1. Washington has allowed 30+ points in 2 of their first 3 games and the Ravens have put up 30+ points in 2 of their first 3 games. I expect Baltimore to walk all over this a Washington defense. The Ravens defense comes in ranked #3 in points allowed per game and this Washington offense will have a hard time keeping pace with the Baltimore offense. I like the Ravens and Lamar Jackson to cover the teased -8.5.
The Bucs have put together 2 solid performances in a row and it was expected it would take a few weeks for Brady to get the timing down with this offense. Brady averaged 7.8 yards per pass and threw for 3 touchdowns against Denver last week. The Chargers played a great game two weeks ago against the Chiefs but they followed that up with a dud last week losing to a McCaffrey-less Panthers team who the Bucs already beat this season. I think Brady and the Bucs take another step forward in this one and I don’t see them losing at home to a West Coast team.
Result – Win
Saints (-155) – This game was almost cancelled late last night due to a potential Covid positive. The Saints are riding a 2 game losing streak and it’s the first time they’ve lost 2 games in a row in 3 years. The Saints are banged up on offense and defense and that’s why this line is so low against the Lions who snapped an 11 game losing streak last week thanks to 3 turnovers by the Cardinals. Regardless of being banged up, the Saints played a close game against the Packers last week who I feel are the best team in the NFC right now. Detroit has the 3rd worst rushing defense in the league allowing 172.3 yards per game so the Saints will be able to rely on Alvin Kamara to carry the load. I don’t see the Saints dropping 3 in a row.
Result – Win
Dalvin Cook Total Rushing Yards Over (81.5) – Cook is coming off of the best game of his career last week where he ran for 181 yards against the Titans. He got a few extra days of rest this week too since the Vikings shut their facilities down until Thursday as a Covid precaution. Cook should be primed for another HUGE game today against the Texans who have the worst rushing defense in the league and are allowing 188.3 rushing yards per game this season. They have allowed 6 different players to break off runs of 20+ yards. I expect the Vikings to feed Cook against this league worst Texans run defense.
Result – Win
Josh Allen Total Passing Yards Over (284.5) – Josh Allen has thrown for more than 285 passing yards in each of his first 3 games this season with 312, 415, & 311. The Raiders have a young secondary and they haven’t really been exposed yet this season because 2 of their first 3 opponents ran the ball 30+ times. However, Drew Brees threw for 312 on them in Week 2. Josh Allen is off to a great start this season and I expect him to continue to put up numbers in Vegas today.
Result – Win
Waiting on confirmation of who is actually playing for the Heat. Game isn’t until 7:30 EST.
