Maybe today we should look at the obvious trends and just bet against them for no reason. I’m kidding but that’s how things have been going the last few days. At least it’s a start to a new week today so we can start fresh after that rough week.
Dodgers (Buehler) (-150) – Walker Buehler will pitch for the Dodgers and he’s got this blister on his finger but he has been able to pitch effectively in his two playoff starts. The Dodgers won both of them 4-2 and 5-1. Buehler has held this Braves lineup to a .174 avg in 46 career at bats. On the flip side, it’s Max Fried and the Dodgers should get out the frying oil. The Dodgers come in with a .379 avg in 29 at bats against Fried. LA scored 7 runs in 6 innings against Fried last season. This is a very favorable matchup for the Dodgers.
Results – Loss
Saints (-1) / Over (44) – The Saints have had their ups and downs over the first four weeks buts one thing that’s been steady is high scoring games. All 4 of their games have gone over 44. The Chargers played a 38-31 game against the Bucs last week so they are capable of putting up and allowing big point totals. The Saints got down 14-0 to start last week’s game then scored touchdowns on five straight drives. The Saints will be without their top WR Michael Thomas again but Emmanuel Sanders and Tre’Quan Smith have stepped up in his absence. Alvin Kamara will be the focal point of the Saints offense – he’s averaging 10.7 yards per reception and 4.7 yards per run. I like the Saints to win and this one to go over 44.
