Haha. Rough day for us yesterday but had some bad luck in the World Series game being decided by one of the “flukiest” plays ever according to John Smoltz. Also had some last minute drama that resulted in Penn State blowing the parlay. It’s part of gambling. On to NFL Sunday.

Packers (-3) – Buy the half point to get -3 here. The Packers will look to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the Bucs last week against the 1-5 Texans today. The running game had been a huge part of the Packers offense this season but they didn’t have much success last week against the Bucs defense who ranks #1 against the run. Today is a completely different story, the Texans are the worst in the league and have allowed 177.5 rushing yards per game. Despite losing O Lineman David Bakhtiari, the Green Bay running game should be able to get going which will allow them to control this game and coast to victory.

Teaser

Bills (-4) / Chiefs (-1.5) – The Bills are looking to snap a 2 game losing streak but luckily for them (and us), they are facing the 0-6 Jets who they have already beat once this season. The Jets have one of the worst defenses in the league allowing 30.8 points per game so the Bills offense shouldn’t have any problem putting up points. All 6 of the Jets losses have come by two or more scores so look for Buffalo to cover the teased -4.

The Chiefs will go on the road to take on the Broncos who have won two straight but those wins came against struggling teams. Going on the road hasn’t been an issue for the Chiefs this season as they are 3-0 in those games. Tom Brady and Big Ben both had big days against this Broncos defense so expect Mahomes to have a big day. It’ll also be interesting to see the Chiefs offense get Le’veon Bell involved today. The Chiefs should do enough to cover -1.5.

Player Prop

Josh Allen Total Touchdown Passes Over (1.5) – There will be juice on this player prop around -200 but it’s shocking that the books keep offering this prop every week. Allen has thrown for 2 or more touchdown passes in all 6 games this season. No shit it’s going to be -200, it’s a 100% trend. I like him to throw 2 or more touchdowns again today.

Player Prop

Todd Gurley Total Rushing Yards Over (62.5) – Tough to bet anything when it comes to the Falcons this season but Todd Gurley has a really good matchup today. The Lions have allowed 145 rushing yards per game this season which ranks #29 in the league. Gurley is averaging 4.2 per carry this season so we need him to get around 15 carries. He’s averaging 16.5 carries per game and I’m liking him to get to that number for us today.

Parlay

Bucs ML / Chiefs ML (-113) – The Bucs are coming off of a statement game against the Packers last week. I think the Bucs have more momentum coming off of that big win against the Packers last week than the Raiders have after beating the Chiefs and having the BYE week. The Bucs put up 38 points last week but more impressive was their defense holding the league leading offense to just 10 points. The Raiders and defense don’t belong in the same sentence and I think the Bucs have the advantage on both sides of the ball.

I realize we are double dipping on the Chiefs but get out the Tostitos scoops because it’s worth it. They will go on the road to take on the Broncos who have won two straight but those wins came against struggling teams. The Chiefs should do enough to win this game for us.

Dodgers (Kershaw) (-155) – What a wack ending last night. The Dodgers will face Tyler Glasnow tonight who they scored 6 earned runs in 4.1 innings against in Game 1. Glasnow is now 0-4 lifetime against the Dodgers. Kershaw will start for the Dodgers and he only gave up 2 hits over 6 innings in Game 1. He’s held this Rays lineup to a .138 avg. I like the Dodgers to win tonight and take the 3-2 series lead.
