1-1 last night but atleast our winner had one team cover the over themselves. We are now 13-2 in our last 15 plays! Let’s build on that tonight with more MACtion.
Ball State ML / Toledo ML (-158) – 15 seems like a big spread for Ball State and even 9 on a teaser seems big despite how bad Northern Illinois has been. We pay some juice on this one but eliminate any spreads and just need these two teams to win straight up. Ball State’s offense has averaged 507 yards of offense per game and will go up against N Illinois who allowed 40 last week and 49 the week before that. N Illinois only scored 10 points last week and 17 the week before that before scoring 2 garbage time touchdowns. Ball State has too much fire power to lose to Northern Illinois tonight.
Then we have Toledo coming off of a game where they blew a 10 point lead in the final minute. Heart breaking loss for them. They will look to bounce back against 0-2 Eastern Michigan who they beat 37-34 in overtime last season. A big part of that win was Toledo running back Bryant Koback running for 259 yards. He should be lined up for another huge game tonight since E Michigan has allowed 258 rushing yards per game through their first two. That will open up the passing game for Eli Peters as well who threw for 339 yards last week. E Michigan is also coming off of a hear breaker where they gave up the winning touchdown with 6 seconds left. Toledo is the better team on paper and their string running game is a huge advantage against E Michigan who has struggled to stop the run. It could be close but Toledo should win for us.
Western Michigan (-1) – Western Michigan has a bunch of momentum after scoring 13 points in the final minute to beat Toledo is dramatic fashion last week. WMU has dominated this rivalry in recent years winning 7 of the last 10 games. WMU beat Central Michigan 31-15 last season. Both squads come in 2-0 but WMU’s win over Toledo last week is the most impressive. WMU’s offense has been great and they have scored 40+ in both of their games. C Michigan only beat Ohio by 3 and Ohio struggled to get by Akron who WMU beat 58-13. If you connect the dots, WMU should be favored by more than 1 in this game. Let’s go with WMU to continue their dominance in this series. Go Broncos!
