Well I wrote my letter to Santa asking him if we could just stop the cold steak today. This week has been one of the worst weeks of our year but we just play the numbers and can’t control what happens in the game. As we always say, there are ups and downs but we have done pretty good overall this year. Merry Christmas and I hope you all have a great day! Let’s get some wins today.
Cross Sport Parlay
Buffalo ML / Saints ML (-103) – Marshall had a great start to the season starting 7-0 but then they had a layoff and went 0-2 in December. They lost 20-0 to Rice and 22-13 against UAB. They didn’t look very good in either of those games. Buffalo went 5-1 on the season and the fans in Buffalo have had two great teams to cheer for this season. The Bulls have averaged 47.8 ppg and they are all about dominating the running game. They have averaged 309 rushing yards per game!! This game will be interesting because Marshall has a great run defense even though they haven’t faced a back like Jaret Patterson this season. There was some talk that Patterson wasn’t going to play in this game but all signs point to him playing today. Marshall gave up over 200 rushing yards to UAB in their last game so look for Buffalo to get the running game going today. Drew Brees is back and even though he clearly isn’t 100% healthy, the Saints only lost by 3 points to the best team in the league last week. The Saints are 7-3 in games that Brees has played and this Saints team is playing to secure a first round BYE in the playoffs. I like the fact that the Vikings have allowed 125.6 rushing yards per game and Alvin Kamara should get going in this game today. That’ll really open up the rest of the offense for the Saints. The Saints defense is one of the best in the league especially against the run so they should slow down Dalvin Cook. The Vikings have lost 3 of their last 5 and 1 of those losses came to the Cowboys. Who dat!?
Alvin Kamara Total Rushing Yards Over (58.5) – Surprisingly, Kamara has only gone over 60.5 rushing yards in 5 games this season but he has a good matchup today. The Vikings defense ranks #23 against the run this season allowing an average of 125.6 ypg. The Vikings defense is coming off of a game where David Montgomery ran for 146 yards last week! Brees is back but I don’t think he’s 100% healthy yet so the Saints should look to get the running game going. Go Kamara go!!
Dalvin Cook Total Receptions Over (3.5) – Cook has gone over 3.5 receptions in 5 of his last 6 games. He is hands down the Vikings best weapon and they want to get this guy the ball. He may struggle running against this Saints defense that ranks #4 against the run. However, if he can’t get the run going, the Vikes should look to hit him on screens and swings in this game. Over 3.5 receptions at plus money looks like a gift for all of us on Christmas.
Alvin Kamara To Score a Touchdown (-210) – I know, tons of juice on this one but when you’ve had the kind of week like we have had, you need a winner! Kamara has found the end zone in 6 of his last 7 games so that’s a nice 86% trend for us on Christmas. He’s also got a great matchup against this Vikings defense that has allowed 125.6 rushing yards per game. Look for Kamara to score for us today!!
Bucks (-6.5) / Celtics (+7) – The Bucks kick this one off in the afternoon with a matchup against Steph Curry and the Warriors who struggled in their opener. They lost 125-99 against the Nets. The Bucks got beat on a late game winner / missed foul shot from one of the best players in the league. The Bucks are a really good team and they still scored 121 despite losing. The Warriors really struggled on the offensive end in their opener and there’s no reason to think it will get any better against the Bucks who were one of the best defensive teams in the league last season. Then we have the Celtics hosting old friend Kyrie Irving. The Nets are favored in this game and the public will be all over them after their blowout win on opening night. However, they are playing a much better opponent today. The Celtics were up 17 on the Bucks late even though they only won by 1. We saw this trend with the Celtics in the playoffs where they struggle to close out leads. Good thing we are getting +7 on this teaser today. I think the Celtics will keep this game close and have a chance to win it but we will take the +7 for a high percentage play.
Clippers (-2.5) – These muthafuckas out here lookin for reveeeeenge. It was just a few months ago that the Clippers blew a 3-1 playoff series lead to this Nuggets team that they will face tonight and they are looking for revenge. The Clippers opened this season by dominating the defending champion Lakers even though the score doesn’t show it. The Nuggets actually took a fat L to the Kings after letting them hang around in the second half. The Clippers shot 47% from the field & 35% from 3 point land in their opener and if they are going to be that efficient they are going to be tough to beat. Let’s take the Clippers to cover the -2.5 tonight.
Cross Sports Christmas Miracle Parlay
Buffalo ML / Saints ML / Heat ML / Bucks ML / Lakers ML / Clippers ML (+768) – Get in the Christmas spirit for this one we have Buffalo going up against a deflated Marshall team, the Saints are going to beat the Vikings. Bucks, Lakers, & Clippers should all win straight up. The one team that I question in this parlay is the Heat after they lost their season opener. I think they bounce back and get a win for us today. A Christmas Miracle parlay paying close to 8 to 1 odds would really make up for the cold streak we had this week. Let’s take a shot!!
