The Nets will be putting the Celtics to bed tonight in Game 5 and come in as major 12 point favorites. Rightfully so! Kemba Walker has been downgraded to doubtful and the Celtics have missed Jalen Brown. The Nets have been clicking on all cylinders in this series and there’s a reason why they came in as the favorites. Taking player prop bets in a game that has the potential to be a blowout is always risky but here are some trends for player prop bets in Game 5 tonight. These are not official picks, those are posted on our VIP Picks page. These are trends and information to help those of you who are betting player props in this game tonight. Kevin Durant (30.5) – KD has gone over 30.5 in 3 of the 4 games in this series and the one game he didn’t go over, he finished at 26.
James Harden (25.5) – Harden has gone under 25.5 points in 3 of the 4 games in this series. He’s finished with 21, 20, 41, and 23.
Kyrie Irving (25.5) – Kyrie was highly motivated in Game 4 and he went off for 39 points which blows away this 25.5. However, he only had 15 and 16 in Games 3 & 4. He hit 29 in Game 1. There’s more drama and potential motivation for him as the media is all riled up about him stomping on the Celtics logo and he got a water bottle thrown at him after Game 4. A motivated Kyrie is likely to cover this 25.5.
Jayson Tatum (33.5) – He has 90 points in the last 2 games. A 50 piece in Game 3 and a 40 piece in Game 4. Tatum has been the guy with Jalen Brown and Kemba Walker being out.
Evan Fournier (16.5) – The books have this number right about where it should be. It would be mor tempting if it was 15.5. Fournier has gone under 16.5 in 3 of the 4 games in this series and he has finished with 16 points in 2 of those games.
Tristan Thompson (9.5) – Thompson has doubled this prop in 2 of the games in this series and he has also only put up half of this number in the other 2 games in this series. Which TT will show up? The one who only took 4 shots in Games 1 and 4 or the guy who had 9 and 13 attempts in Games 2 & 3?
Player Three Pointers:
Kyrie Irving (2.5) – If the Game 4 motivated Kyrie shows up tonight, take the over here. He went 6 for 12 from downtown in that game. He hit more threes in Game 4 than he did in Games 1, 2, & 3 combined.
James Harden (2.5) – +108 – He’s gone over in 2 of the 4 games in this series. It is kind of eye opening to see this one at plus money after he had those 7 three pointers made in Game 3.
Kevin Durant (2.5) – +146 – Durant has finished with 3 and 4 three pointers in each of the last 2 games but he only had 1 and 2 in Games 1 and 2. Appealing at the plus money odds but just a 50% trend in this series.
Jayson Tatum (3.5) – Despite his high scoring games, he has only gone over 3.5 three pointers made in 1 of the 4 games in this series.
To Record 10+ Rebounds
Tristan Thompson (-140) – This one’s for the value hunters out there. Thompson has grabbed 10 rebounds in 3 of the 4 games in this series. He went under in Game 4 because there were no chances for rebounds since both teams were hitting shots at a high rate. Big Rob Williams is questionable and if he’s out the Celtics don’t have any other big men to grab rebounds. It’s not that often you can find a 75% trend at -140 odds.
